Key requirements

  • 5+ years' experience

Position Purpose:

The Flight Scheduling & Planning (FSP) Senior Lead is responsible to ensure the availability of accurate and timely flight data (flight schedule, stand/gate/counter allocation, basic data, rules etc.) for the regional airports, so as to facilitate on time & efficient operation and provide accurate data for aeronautical billing and statistics.

The role drives the governance and continuous optimization of airport capacity, flight scheduling and slot coordination by balancing operational demand with available infrastructure, establishing planning frameworks and supporting data driven decision making.

Acting as the company's subject matter expert, the position shapes operational policies, supports digital transformation initiatives, ensures compliance with applicable aviation regulations and industry standards, and represents Fraport Greece before airlines, aviation authorities, airport coordination bodies, and industry stakeholders throughout the seasonal scheduling cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Airport Capacity Management

  • Drive airport capacity planning activities across the network, ensuring the optimum utilization of runway, terminal, and apron capacity.

  • Lead the development, review and continuous optimization of Airport Coordination Parameters supporting the seasonal slot coordination process.

  • Support airport designation (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) through technical assessments, capacity evaluations, and recommendations.

  • Contribute to Airport Capacity Assessment programmes by evaluating operational constraints and future traffic demand.

Flight Scheduling & Operational Governance

  • Oversee the governance of flight scheduling activities, ensuring operational feasibility, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Establish and maintain Airport Operating Hours, Local Rules, Flight Scheduling procedures and related operational standards.

  • Drive the continuous improvement of FSP processes, policies, and governance

Systems & Digital solutions

  • Provide business ownership for FSP operational systems and associated business processes.

  • Define business requirements and support the continuous enhancement of AODB (Skyport), SCORE and related operational systems.

  • Ensure the integrity and governance of operational data supporting FSP activities.

  • Collaborate with Data Analytics & IT to enhance reporting capabilities, Power BI and digital initiatives.

  • Correct Post Flight Data for "Aeronautical Billing" & Statistical purposes

Stakeholder & Industry Representation

  • Represent Fraport Greece throughout the IATA Slot Conference process & seasonal slot coordination cycle.

  • Act as liaison with airlines, HSCA, HCAA, Eurocontrol and other aviation stakeholders on scheduling and airport capacity matters.

  • Chair the Slot Performance Committee (SPC), coordinate SPC Working Groups and support the company's participation in Coordination Committees.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient airport operations and long-term capacity management

Requirements

  • College degree or bachelor degree, or business equivalent qualification

  • At least 5 years working experience in the same field

  • Excellent understanding of airport operational procedures

  • Good knowledge of SITA telex formats

  • Skillful use of administrative applications (i.e. MS Project, MS Office)

  • Fluent in both English & Greek (oral and written)

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.

The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
