What you'll do
- Comply with Purchasing Department policies, procedures, safeguards, and internal controls
- Verify non-food and beverage deliveries against approved purchase orders and investigate exceptions
- Maintain current receiving files for approved purchase orders and delivery status
- Inspect condition and quality, and count or measure the quantity and weight of received goods
- Inspect food quality and obtain approval for questionable items
- Match receiving documents with electronic purchase orders and report discrepancies
- Receive specialty items and contact the originating department for verification and inspection
Key requirements
- Receiving procedures, purchase order verification, and purchasing procedures
- Inventory controls, inventory records management, and inventory and purchasing systems
- Quality inspection, food safety standards, and quantity and weight measurement
- Documentation, attention to detail, and internal controls compliance
- Basic computer skills and vendor coordination
- English language
