About the job
Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is seeking a Purchasing Receiver to join our Purchasing team. The Purchasing Receiver will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of the hotel by receiving and inspecting all incoming goods, maintaining organized storage, and ensuring all departments have the necessary supplies. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is proactive and capable of managing the receiving area efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness.

What You Will Do
- Coordinate and manage all receiving operations to ensure all hotel departments receive the necessary supplies on time.
- Inspect the quality, quantity, and condition of all incoming goods before storage.
- Ensure that all deliveries are received at the correct storage area.
- Maintain a strong relationship with vendors and delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Ensure all invoices and packing slips are correctly stamped and recorded.
- Oversee food quality inspections at receiving, with approval from the Executive Chef for any questionable items.
- Maintain an up-to-date file of all approved purchase orders.
- Keep receiving areas and storage spaces secure, clean, and organized.
- Conduct temperature checks on vendor chiller trucks and food products.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth transitions of goods to storage and to support month-end or quarterly inventories.
What You Bring
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience in a similar position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of internal controls, purchase orders, and inventory procedures.
- A proactive and energetic approach to tasks and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
