About the job

As a Purchasing Administrator at Four Seasons Astir Palace Athens, you will support the Purchasing Team by assisting with the day-to-day operational requirements. Your role is key in ensuring smooth purchase coverage for all Engineering items and other departmental requests through the Birchstreet system, while assisting in general administration and maintaining accurate records for H.A.C.C.P.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide administrative assistance by issuing Purchase Orders (POs), searching for products, following up on orders, and exporting reports.
  • Ensure full purchase coverage for all Engineering POs and any other requests via the Birchstreet system.
  • Maintain a positive, professional relationship with co-workers and departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train and guide colleagues as needed, promoting teamwork and adhering to the highest standards.
  • Assist with routine inventory taking of supplies and operating equipment.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Clerk in researching cost discrepancies.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Purchasing or Assistant Purchasing Manager.
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance.

What You Bring:

  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of full-time experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of Four Seasons’ internal controls, policies, and procedures related to Purchasing and Inventory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors.
  • A commitment to integrity, ethics, and safety in all tasks.
