At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Department for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). This role is key in supervising the pastry team, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and confections, and maintaining smooth operations in the pastry kitchen.
What You Will Do
Supervise and coordinate the preparation of all pastry items according to approved recipes and standards set by the Pastry Chef. Lead and motivate pastry staff, assist in training, and ensure the pastry kitchen is clean, organized, and sanitary. Participate in menu development, tasting menus, and special occasion productions, including wedding cakes and centrepieces. Manage requisitions, ingredient storage, and proper use of pastry equipment. Oversee production using techniques such as yeasted products, laminated dough, sugar work, chocolate, marzipan, and advanced décor methods. Collaborate closely with all chefs and service staff to deliver exceptional pastry offerings and uphold Four Seasons culinary standards.
What You Bring
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
Previous experience in a similar pastry supervisory role is an advantage.
Knowledge of basic and advanced pastry techniques, décor methods, and mass production techniques.
Ability to train and supervise pastry staff effectively.
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Greek is an advantage.
Food Service Sanitation certification is an asset.
