About the Role
At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a highly engaged Assistant Waiter to join our Helios Restaurant team for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). You will assist the wait staff in delivering exceptional service, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable dining experience that reflects the vibrant Latin-inspired concept.
What You Will Do
Assist in describing and presenting menu items, including food and beverage, to guests in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.
Communicate guest orders, including any special requests, to the kitchen and coordinate timely delivery of items.
Assist with table setup, breakdown, and maintenance of buffets, food stations, and service areas.
Retrieve and stock linen, china, silver, glassware, and other food and beverage supplies.
Serve appetizers, coffee, tea, bread, and butter according to Four Seasons standards.
Provide unobtrusive and professional service, supporting the team during high-volume periods.
Collaborate with stewarding, culinary, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service.
Operate tea/coffee equipment and assist with in-room dining and other hotel outlets as required.
Maintain safety and hygiene protocols, responding appropriately to any emergency or safety situation.
Assist colleagues in completing other duties, including clearing tables, food running, mise-en-place, polishing equipment, and cleaning service areas.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
Previous experience in food and beverage service is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Greek is an advantage.
Food handling and sanitation certification is a plus.

Schedule & Hours
Summer Seasonal Job – 5 working days per week, with 2 days off.
