At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, our people are the cornerstone of excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Sales to join our dynamic Commercial team. In this key leadership role, you will support the Director of Sales in driving revenue growth and brand positioning within the luxury leisure market, with a particular focus on the USA market, while fostering strong relationships with clients and partners.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our presence in the luxury market, specifically the USA.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders within the luxury sector.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and revenue.
Cultivate diverse revenue streams and optimize the hotel's profitability.
Align the product offerings with the brand's distinct positioning.
Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.
Manage a portfolio of key accounts and supervise sales and administrative staff to achieve room night and revenue targets.
Collaborate closely with revenue management and marketing teams to optimize segment performance.
Oversee account management ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and performance tracking.
Represent the hotel at key events and sales trips to ensure visibility and prime positioning within target markets.
Utilize business intelligence tools such as Agency360, Demand360, STR, Lanyon, and internal reports to evaluate performance and uncover opportunities.
Lead and develop the leisure sales team, ensuring compliance goals and administrative responsibilities are met.
Coordinate marketing expenses and participate in sales meetings and trainings to drive team success.
About You
Proven track record of success in luxury sales, particularly within the five-star hospitality sector and the USA leisure market.
Significant sales experience (5+ years), preferably within Four Seasons or similar luxury brands.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams and driving results.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in both Greek and English.
Deep knowledge of luxury and business travel hospitality trends, travel advisor networks, and client expectations.
Ability to analyze market trends, leverage business intelligence, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong knowledge and proficiency with transient RFP tools and Business Intelligence programs, including Lanyon, Agency360, and others.
Ability to monitor segment contribution and booking patterns to drive room rate, occupancy, and RevPAR growth through strategic account selection and yield management.
College degree or equivalent preferred.
Availability to travel as required for sales trips and industry events.
