At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant Manager to join our Finance team.
As Accounts Payable Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the hotel's accounts payable processes while maintaining compliance with Four Seasons policies and financial standards. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external suppliers, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of one of the world's leading luxury hospitality brands. What You Will Do
Contribute to the monthly financial reporting by preparing accruals and journal entries in the Accounting System during month-end and year-end closing, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Ensure that monthly accruals for goods/services received but not invoiced are prepared and recorded accordingly
Prepare monthly tax declarations in accordance with local regulations, including VAT returns, Accommodation Tax, Withholding Taxes, Intrastat/Listings, and Municipality Taxes
Manage and resolve tax-related matters inquiries, and compliance issues.
Provide support and documentation for internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of required financial information and compliance with audit requirements
Review and reconcile intercompany balances between ownership company, ensuring accuracy of financial records and timely resolution of outstanding items.
Oversee Accounts Payable function and supervise team.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Finance, preferably within the hospitality industry or a multinational organization.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments.
Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Greek is considered an advantage.
Applicants must have a European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
