About the job

Reporting to the Flora Professional Sales Lead, the Culinary Technical Advisor is a key member of the sales team who participates in designing and implementation of customer-focused culinary solutions, for both the commercial food service chain and manufacturing sectors.

This is both an internal and external customer-facing role, and success requires on-trend culinary knowledge and the ability to bring this to life. Extensive experience in working within the hospitality industry is required, with further experience working with major players on the Greek market.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of success in the Greek hospitality sector, developing recipes and menu solutions, along with an extensive customer network within the sector.  

Main responsibilities:

  • Daily visits to existing and new customers to present the uses and capabilities of the company's products.

  • Leading and conducting of knowledgeable and inspirational culinary education sessions for key customers and our sales team, both to enhance appreciation of Flora’s product range and versatility, and drive sales growth.

  • Regular time spent working with customers to gain an insight into their business from a culinary perspective, which can be explored for growth.

  • Representing Flora within the wider culinary sector, sharing ideas for growth and opportunity for expansion.

  • Support the development of the Flora recipe database as an effective and relevant tool.

  • Develop suitable recipes that support our culinary program, in a suitable timescale to maximize usage opportunity.
    Monitor and follow through each piece of activity, with the sales team to understand the impact and uplift of sales and give recommendations on which activities to focus on.

 

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

You have a degree in Culinary Arts, as well as extensive and relevant culinary knowledge and experience working with a variety of Greek Commercial & Social Chains, Pubs & Restaurants or mass catering businesses (HoReCa).

Ability to take insights and develop culinary sales solutions and be a highly engaging demonstrator with the ability to inspire.

It is also necessary to have a very positive attitude, are able to influence & convince and are able to see and seize opportunities when they present themselves.

A passion for and high-level of knowledge of food and the food service industry.

An articulate self-starter: knows what needs to be done and how to make it happen at pace.

Ability to travel (driver's license is necessary).
