ιτ digital commerce manager

Reporting to the Group IT Director, you will be responsible and accountable for:

• Platform Architecture & Management: Own the technical roadmap for the e-commerce platform (e.g., Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus)

• Oversee integrations with ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, WMS, and payment gateways

• Technical Strategy & Project Management: Translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Manage and develop an internal e-commerce team or coordinate with external development partners/agencies

• Serve as product owner for the eCommerce platform, prioritizing backlog items and coordinating feature releases.

• Oversee sprint planning, testing, and go-lives of new functionalities and platform upgrades

• Align technical team members with business goals, ensuring efficient communication and clear expectations

• Ensure timely resolution of platform issues (bugs, outages, integrations) and act as escalation point.Site Reliability & Performance: Implement monitoring tools and alerts (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Google Cloud Monitoring). Monitor site speed, uptime, scalability, and server health. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and infrastructure risks

• E-Commerce Integrations & APIs: Oversee real-time inventory synchronization, pricing rules, and order flow logic

• Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure the platform complies with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and the European Accessibility Act. Implement secure authentication, data protection measures, and privacy tools in accordance with GDPR

Qualifications & Competencies required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Degree in Information Technology or related field will be considered as an asset)

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar job position

• Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, etc.)

• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and product ownership in a digital environment

• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Strong leadership and people management capabilities

• Experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), CDN, CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with WCAG, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other digital compliance standards

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail, fashion, or omnichannel commerce

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and headless commerce

• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics
