About the job

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Group Finance team in Kifissia. The main objective of the role is to oversee the Accounts Payable function across the Group, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, compliance with internal controls and policies, and continuous improvement of AP processes. The role also supports the standardization of procedures across Group companies while leading and developing the Accounts Payable team.

Reporting to the Finance Shared Services Manager you will be responsible and accountable to:
•Supervise the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations across Group companies, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies
•Lead, coach, and support the Accounts Payable team, setting priorities and monitoring performance
•Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and payment requests
•Oversee supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors
•Monitor AP aging and outstanding liabilities, ensuring proper follow-up and reporting
•Ensure compliance with tax and accounting requirements related to Accounts Payable transactions
•Ensure vendor master data accuracy and integrity
•Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable
•Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement and Business Units, to ensure efficient end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes
•Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization of Accounts Payable procedures across the Group
•Participate in internal and external audit processes by providing the required documentation and support
•Prepare Accounts Payable reports and KPIs for management

Qualifications & Competencies required:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
•At least 8 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including experience in a supervisory role
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes
•Experience in a multi-company or Group environment will be considered a strong advantage
•Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•Fluent in English, both written and spoken
•Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
•Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
•Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership and coaching skills

Qualifications considered as an asset:
•Experience in retail or other high-volume transaction environments
•Experience with AP automation or invoice workflow solutions
•Εxperience working with SAP S/4HANA
•Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization
