We are looking for a Reinsurance associate with a P&C background to join our team. The candidate will need to be reliable, professional with great organizational and communication skills and with an excellent grasp of the English language (both written & verbal).
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Assist in placing reinsurance treaties across all lines of business, according to the company’s risk mitigation policy
- Conduct and manage reinsurance statistics reporting for both treaty and facultative cessions (incl. SII requirements) & all relevant administrative requirements (technical accounts & claims recoveries)
- Structure and streamline operational reinsurance processes
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of reinsurance data within the company’s reinsurance application /system
- Ensure application of the reinsurance treaty terms and conditions to underlying products (original Insurance policies)
Candidate profile
- Self-motivated individual with ability to undertake initiatives, prioritize appropriately and embrace challenges
- Ability to work independently but also as part of team
- Excellent time management and ability to deliver on strict project deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional command of the English language
- Reinsurance treaty, policy and contract interpretation experience
- Ability to build relationships with Reinsurers
- Understanding of reinsurance market and traditional structures
- Analytical mindset and ability to structure and simplify operational reinsurance tasks & processes
- Relevant working experience (minimum 3-5yrs)
- Master’s degree and /or participation in Reinsurance seminars will be considered a plus
Working experience: 3 to 5 years
Objectives
- Develop a young and enthusiastic individual into an experienced reinsurance specialist; have the ability to mitigate personnel risk and increase the bench depth of technical department
- Simplify reinsurance operations and eliminate manual intervention from recurring processes
- Control and holistically monitor end to end reinsurance processes
- Enhance department ability to explore more sophisticated reinsurance structures / techniques
