We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Eurolife FFH team.
Role Responsibilities
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Processing financial information and post daily journal entries into the accounting system with efficiency and accuracy.
Performing reconciliations with the company’s core systems on a daily/monthly basis.
Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing process.
Co-operating with the accounting team to ensure the smooth operation of all finance-related matters.
Reviewing and reconciling transactions against bank statements to ensure payments are being processed in a timely manner.
Tracking and monitoring accounts receivable and payable.
Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.
Preparing analysis of accounts on regular and/or ad-hoc basis to support the projects of the accounting department.
Performing fixed assets register maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Relevant work experience of 1 - 2 years ideally within an insurance company.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
Good Knowledge of IFRS and Accounting.
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.
Ability to be both a team player and work independently.
