We are seeking an experienced Senior Trader to oversee and optimize our energy portfolios, including Renewable Energy Sources (RES) aggregation and retail energy contracts. The ideal candidate will develop and execute strategies that balance supply, demand, and financial performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and proven experience in energy markets.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
Oversee and optimize energy portfolios, including RES aggregation and retail energy contracts.
Develop strategies to balance supply, demand, profitability, and risk.
Execute energy trades across European markets to maximize portfolio value.
Market Analysis & Strategy
Analyze market trends, price movements, and regulatory developments.
Provide actionable insights on market opportunities and risks.
Contribute to long-term portfolio growth and risk management strategies.

Operations & Compliance
Interface with brokers, counterparties, exchanges, and auction offices.
Maintain full compliance with Greek and EU regulatory frameworks.
Assess the impact of regulatory updates on trading strategies and performance.
Financial Performance & Reporting
Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports, including PnL statements and KPI dashboards.
Oversee budget calculations and cash flow monitoring.
Conduct financial reconciliations with accuracy and adherence to internal policies.

Tools, Models & Collaboration
Develop and improve analytical models and forecasting tools.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities and optimize performance.
Work closely with technical teams to leverage data, automation, and advanced analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.

Master’s degree in Economics or Energy is a plus.

Minimum 4 years of experience in energy market trading or analysis.

Technical Skills:

Trader certifications (HENEX Spot/Derivatives/Gas, EEX) considered an asset.

Programming and database skills (Python, SQL preferred).

Strong foundation in data analysis and machine learning techniques.

Languages: Excellent command of English.
