senior energy trader

Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the development of trading strategies  
• Trading for RES Aggregation   
• Monitor and analyze energy markets   
• Develop new analytic and forecasting tools  
• Trade energy across European markets  
• Communicate with other parties (brokers, counterparties, exchanges, auction offices etc.)   
• Prepare and deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports  
• Responsible for budget calculation and cash flow monitoring  
• Responsible for financial reconciliation  
• Prepare and deliver PnL and KPI reports  
• Monitor energy market regulatory framework updates (Greek and EU).   

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Mathematics. 
• Master’s degree in Economics or Energy would be considered a plus 
• At least 7 years of experience in energy markets trading/analysis. 
• Technical Skills: Trader certifications (Henex – Spot/Derivatives/Gas, EEX) will be considered an asset. Programming and database skills, preferably in Python and SQL. Solid background in data analysis and machine learning techniques 
• Communication Skills: Strong command of the English language.

Work Conditions 

• Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexibility in working hours may be required. 
• Contract Type: Permanent contract with a 6-month probation period.
