What you'll do
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within approved budgets
- Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and project reports
- Oversee installation and commissioning of equipment ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans
- Ensure compliance with company standards, engineering best practices, and health & safety regulations
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the plant
Key requirements
- Mechanical Engineering and engineering best practices knowledge
- Project Management including project planning, budget management, and risk management
- Coordination of multidisciplinary teams and strong problem-solving skills
- Technical specifications preparation and installation and commissioning oversight
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Fluency in English and Health & Safety Compliance

About the job
Elval is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to join its Engineering Division, within the Mechanical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering mechanical engineering projects related to production facilities, industrial equipment, infrastructure upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within approved budgets
Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and project reports
Oversee installation, and commissioning, of the equipment, making sure full compliance with health and safety regulations,and finally handover to production
Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans
Ensure compliance with company standards, engineering best practices, and Health & Safety regulations
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the plant
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Master’s Degree (Integrated 5-Year Degree) in Mechanical Engineering from a Polytechnic University
Professional experience in project management within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and engineering principles
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Excellent project planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
