About the job
As the Plant Finance Manager, you will report directly to the CFO being responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the plant including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting to ensure the plant operates efficiently and profitably.
Your role
Oversee end-to-end finance operations including accounting, tax, and costing processes/ manage the communication with external auditors, internal auditors, local customs and tax authorities
Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, the preparation of monthly management reporting and annual/semi-annual statutory reporting
Prepare the annual budget in coordination with other functions of the plant and Athens HQ
Monitor and control plant’s investments, production, logistics and administrative costs, both in terms of consumption and values, ensuring compliance with budgets and approval processes
Monitor and control plant’s raw materials, semi-finished, finished and spare-parts warehouses’ integrity
Ensure that plant’s financial management practices are in compliance with Group’s policies and processes guidelines and propose changes / improvements to reflect plant’s operational needs
Support decision making by assessing financial impact of different production / operational scenarios and by appraising investments proposals
Manage interactions and relations with local customs and other authorities
Liaise with the controlling team in Athens HQ with regards to statutory reporting, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, group accounting and tax policies
Liaise with the treasury team in Athens HQ with regards to group treasury internal policies and procedures
Your profile
University Degree in Accounting or Finance
MBA and/ or Professional Accounting Accreditation (eg ACCA, CIA) would be an advantage
Solid background in industrial manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in cost accounting, warehouse’ controlling and manufacturing / logistics internal controls, will be considered an asset
Knowledge of customs compliance processes and experience in interacting with customs authorities
Knowledge of IFRS and their implications on industrial manufacturing entities
Strong analytical and communications skills
Experience in leading teams
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Experience with SAP ERP (FI/ CO, MM, PP, IM/ PS, SD, BW, etc)
Excellent knowledge of English language
