The  ELVALHALCOR - Copper & Alloys Extrusion Division  is searching for a self motivated HEALTH & SAFETY ENGINEERE to develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines and enforce policies and procedures to establish a health and safety culture as part of H&S department team in our plant in Oinofyta Voiotia, Greece.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

•   Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

•   Prepare and enforce policies and procedures to establish a health and safety culture

•   Preparation of periodic progress reports for management review, including HS key performance indicators and project progress reports.

•   Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

•   Conduct training and presentations for health and safety issues and accident prevention 

•   Planning and coordination of the HS internal audit program with contractors, including the follow up of non-conformities and corrective actions implementation, 

•   Ensuring that audit points are attended and closed out within the required time frame

•   Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations

•   Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions

•   Investigate accidents or incidents with 5Ys methodology to discover the root causes 

•   Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics

•   Working knowledge of HS Management Systems - ISO 45001:2018

•   Plan and monitor relevant H&S projects

Requirements:

•   University degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical Engineering 

•   Proven experience (at least 3 years) as a H&S Engineer in industrial sector 

•   Advanced skills using MS Office and SAP (will be an asset) 

•   Strong written and verbal English communication skills

•   Familiarity with documentation, H&S rules, regulations and best practices

•   Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies

•   Good knowledge of data analysis, accident investigation with 5Ys methodology and risk assessment

•   Excellent organizational and motivational skills
