Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Mechanical design and machine elements design & calculations
- AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor (3D) skills
- Dimensional tolerancing, GD&T, and precision measurements
- 3D modeling and technical drawing skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication with report writing
- Organizational skills and teamwork
- Advanced MS Office proficiency
- Hand sketching and safety standards compliance

About the job
The Design Specialist supports the design, development, and optimization of mechanical equipment and industrial layouts, contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement across ELVAL’s production facilities.
Key Accountabilities
Create and manage factory layouts as well as design general layouts of existing and future production lines
Study, design, and develop technical solutions for mechanical equipment and steel structures, including 3D modeling and detailed manufacturing drawings.
Make design modifications or improvements on development or maintenance projects
Generate hand sketches
Participate as team member, work effectively in a team environment
Write reports and present results to managers
Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards
Maintain accurate records
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (4-year degree)
Previous experience in a similar role: 3–5 years
Strong expertise in mechanical design
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Advanced skills using MS Office
Strong expertise in AutoCAD (2D) & Autodesk Inventor (3D)
Expertise in dimensional tolerancing, GD&T, and precision measurements
Very good knowledge of machine elements design & calculations
Strong organizational skills
