• Audit: Our Audit practice is divided into three Sub-Groups based on the industry we serve (Core, Shipping, Financial Services and Insurance). Audit quality is core to EY’s brand and reputation with clients and stakeholders and it has a tremendous halo effect on the rest of EY. It is at the heart of the All in strategy and a key invest to win priority.

That is why in Assurance we are well underway with a major audit transformation that will: increase our use of specialized teams, standardize and simplify our audit approach, and develop a next-generation intuitive and integrated technology platform, powered by data and AI.

• Assurance Advisory: Through our Assurance Advisory sub-service lines, we bring value and insights to our clients on some of the most pressing boardroom issues, supporting EY's Big Bets in Transformation, Managed Services and Sustainability. Assurance Advisory plays a vital role when it comes to Transformation, as business becomes more complex and organizations are under pressure to sustain trust and manage risks effectively.

• Financial Accounting Advisory Services: We provide accounting advice to CFOs, controllers, treasurers and audit committees to comply with evolving financial & regulatory requirements, supporting better decision-making. In addition, we help our clients to address the finance agenda, transform their finance functions and streamline their processes, through innovative application of technology and methods.

• Forensics: We help organizations protect and restore enterprise and financial reputation. We assist companies and their legal counsel to investigate facts, resolve disputes and manage regulatory challenges. We put integrity at the heart of compliance programs to help better manage ethical and reputational risks.

• Climate Change & Sustainability Services: We create positive change on how our clients impact the environment by publishing Sustainability reports, EU Taxonomy, CSRD. Tackling critical issues including decarbonization and net zero goals, sustainable finance, nature and biodiversity, regulations and reporting, EY has decades-long experience helping clients with their sustainability journeys towards a net-zero, regenerative future. EY is the market leader for sustainability services, with a 20+ year legacy that clearly sets us apart from our peers. We have the largest, globally integrated sustainability practice of any firm – CCaSS.

• Technology Risk: As confidence and trust in data and technology are becoming a greater societal concern, understanding risk arising from the implementation and use of technology is increasingly important to accelerating business performance and achieving sustainable growth. The ability to understand these risks and bridge the knowledge gap that often exists between business and IT is the core strength of Technology Risk professionals. With deep technical knowledge and audit expertise, our professionals work alongside IT and risk leaders to evaluate and enhance technology controls, ensure compliance with evolving regulations and deliver valuable business insights.

• Capital markets: Companies seeking to launch an initial public offering (IPO) or pursue other capital raising activities face significant challenges. EY assists clients with their capital raising strategies by working collaboratively with clients, investment bankers, private equity firms, attorneys and other stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

As part of our Assurance team, you will inspire trust and confidence in the capital markets and economies of the world, protecting the investing community and guiding our clients toward success. You will make a technical contribution to audit engagements, accounting advisory and internal projects as well as actively establish internal and external relationships. You will identify and escalate potential business opportunities for EY on existing engagements. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you will escalate issues as appropriate. You will confirm that the work delivered to clients is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

To qualify for the role, you should have

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics,Finance, Informatics, Statistics or Environmental and Sustainability

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office

• Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English

• Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities

•  

Ideally you will also have:

• Postgraduate or professional qualification studies
