senior python back-end developer

We are searching for a skilled Python Back-End Developer to become a vital member of our team and support the creation of dependable and scalable data-driven applications.

This role involves designing, developing, and sustaining back-end systems in collaboration with data scientists and front-end developers.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Greece.

Responsibilities

• Design Python-based back-end services and APIs

• Build and optimize data pipelines for seamless ingestion, processing, and storage

• Handle extensive datasets and execute intricate data transformations

• Create and manage data models and schemas

• Collaborate with data scientists to convert insights into practical solutions

• Integrate back-end systems with front-end applications for enhanced functionalities

• Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and performance

• Adapt to latest developments in Python libraries and frameworks

• Implement Large Language Model (LLM) functionalities within back-end systems

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python programming language and associated frameworks (Django, Flask)

• Background in designing and creating RESTful APIs

• Skills in SQL and database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Expertise in data processing and ETL pipelines (Airflow, Spark)

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving strategies

• Familiarity with LLM integration and application development

• Competency in effective communication and teamwork

Nice to have

• Background in working with the oil and gas industry

• Understanding of domain-specific data such as seismic datasets

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
