We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to take charge of pre-sales and oversee the execution of complex, large-scale programs in the energy sector.
This position is dedicated to advancing modernization and digital transformation through the deployment of both commercial and enterprise software solutions. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in delivery management, a track record of handling multi-stream projects, and the ability to work effectively in multi-vendor environments. The preferred location for this role is Athens or the surrounding region.
Responsibilities
Manage every stage of program delivery, ensuring projects meet strategic goals, deadlines, and budget requirements
Lead pre-sales initiatives, including solution planning, cost estimation, and direct engagement with clients
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, to ensure alignment and effective communication
Oversee delivery governance, risk management, and escalation procedures across all programs
Work closely with third-party vendors to guarantee smooth integration of external solutions
Drive digital transformation and modernization efforts within the energy industry
Uphold high standards for project delivery, track performance metrics, and encourage ongoing improvement
Mentor and support delivery teams, promoting a culture of responsibility and high achievement
Oversee financial management of programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss accountability
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior delivery, program, or architecture leadership position
Involvement in at least 8 major projects or experience launching 2 or more products or significant product features to market
Proven ability to deliver large-scale, enterprise-level programs with multiple workstreams, teams of 40+ FTEs, and multi-year durations
Demonstrated leadership in complex programs within the energy sector, such as Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, or Utilities
Strong experience in pre-sales activities, including RFP/RFI processes, solution development, estimation, and client presentations
Background in managing large, multi-vendor project environments
Deep understanding of project management methodologies, including PMI, PRINCE2, and Agile frameworks
Advanced skills in stakeholder management, particularly with executive-level stakeholders
Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is highly valued
Proficiency in Greek at B2+ level
Excellent written and spoken English at C1 business level, with strong presentation skills
