What you'll do
- Build, design, and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Boot and related technologies
- Create and refine RESTful APIs, including contracts, versioning, documentation, performance, and compatibility
- Manage persistence and data access with JPA/Hibernate or Panache and Microsoft SQL Server
- Develop and maintain Apache Camel integration workflows for routing, transformation, retries, errors, and monitoring
- Apply microservices practices, including service boundaries, resiliency, and operational readiness
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and release workflows using Git and Azure DevOps
- Use Microsoft Copilot for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation, supported by reviews and automation
- Contribute to AI-enabled solution design using LLM integration fundamentals, grounding, and risk assessment
- Support Angular and TypeScript interfaces through minor fixes, enhancements, and API-UI debugging
- Support application operations in AWS, including IAM, logging, and monitoring
- Diagnose production and non-production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver lasting solutions
- Plan deliverables, estimate effort, track progress, and participate in Agile ceremonies
- Support team development through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Java 8+ with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data
- RESTful APIs, JPA/Hibernate or Panache, Maven, and Microsoft SQL Server and SQL
- Apache Camel and microservices architecture
- Git and Azure DevOps, plus CI/CD and DevOps methodologies
- JUnit and Mockito, with Angular and TypeScript
- AWS operations, IAM, logging, and monitoring; AI and LLM integration fundamentals; Microsoft Copilot
