We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cyprus, Nicosia, where we offer a hybrid work model with a mix of remote and on-site work at EPAM’s office. In this role, you will focus on automated testing for our web applications tailored for the insurance industry, playing a crucial part in delivering high-quality, reliable and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write, design and execute automated tests to ensure robust and efficient software performance
• Take a leadership role in the design, development and implementation of automation components, setting standards for the team
• Coordinate and identify test cases suitable for automation, enhancing testing efficiency
• Adhere to and enforce best practices for Software Development and Automation to maintain high standards
• Assist with manual testing when necessary to ensure comprehensive coverage
• Oversee the testing process to optimize time to market for software releases
• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system, ensuring key functionalities are thoroughly tested
• Log and document bugs in the tracking system, providing clear and actionable reports
• Set up and maintain continuous integration systems to streamline testing and deployment processes

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Single Page Applications, JavaScript and TypeScript with at least 3 years of experience
• Extensive experience with automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright
• Advanced skills in API testing and automation, capable of testing complex systems
• Proficiency in maintaining existing tests and creating new ones to adapt to evolving application features
• Experience in manual testing and test case creation, demonstrating versatility in QA roles
• Deep understanding of CI/CD processes (continuous integration, continuous delivery), ensuring seamless integration and delivery cycles
• A proactive approach to quality assurance, continuously seeking to introduce new QA methods, delve into business logic and enhance project outcomes
• Strong communication skills in English and comfort working in an international environment, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
