About the job
The Pastry A is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and bakery items according to established recipes and standards. They support the pastry team in daily production, ensure consistency and presentation excellence, and uphold strict hygiene and food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute à la carte desserts to fine dining standards.
Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry workstation.
Oversee the inventory, storage, and proper handling of raw materials.
Guide and support the pastry team in daily operations.
Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure the quality consistency of the menu.
Check quality and freshness of ingredients daily before production.
Perform any related duties, as required by the Kitchen department.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in fine dining or a 5* hotel.
Degree or diploma from a Pastry & Bakery School (culinary degree).
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
Excellent knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.
Familiarity with modern dessert trends and international pastry practices.
Fluent in Greek and good command of English.
