What you'll do
- Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance operations including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Ensure mechanical systems and structural components are in optimal working condition
- Supervise upkeep of guest rooms, lobbies, kitchens, and outdoor spaces
- Recruit, train, and manage maintenance staff
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions
- Promote team environment and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits and address risks
- Keep accurate records of inspections and maintenance logs
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance concerns
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Assess guest feedback to improve maintenance quality
- Plan and coordinate property improvement projects
- Manage project timelines, vendors, and budgets
- Collaborate with hotel management on project priorities
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Mechanical systems knowledge including HVAC, plumbing, electrical
- Maintenance management and preventive maintenance skills
- Team management and staff training abilities
- Health and safety regulations knowledge and safety audits
- Communication skills for guest and staff interactions
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Budget management and vendor management
- Hospitality industry knowledge
- Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electricianpreferred
