What you'll do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Provide exceptional customer service and engage with guests to enhance their experience
- Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to identify popular products and areas for improvement
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and anticipate their needs with attentive service
- Handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Restock bar supplies, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages
- Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Maintain bar cleanliness and adhere to safety and hygiene protocols
- Ensure compliance with laws on responsible alcohol service and manage intoxicated guests
- Collaborate with kitchen and F&B staff to ensure smooth service and efficient operations
- Assist in training new staff on beverage preparation and customer service
- Maintain clear and effective communication within the bar team and with other departments
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Customer service and communication skills including handling complaints
- Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and mixology techniques
- Health & Safety regulations knowledge including food and beverage handling
- Inventory management and stock control practices
- Cash handling and reconciliation accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
- Interpersonal skills for team collaboration and guest engagement
- Knowledge of computer systems
