What you'll do
- Plan, implement, develop and test HW/SW components for backbone and data center networks
- Prepare technical feasibility studies, design proposals and execute POCs for networks
- Communicate with 3rd parties/vendors during tendering and network design requirements
- Integrate new technologies and define upgrade strategies and lifecycle plans for networks
- Prepare vendor specific configuration templates
- Define network monitoring metrics and KPIs and track system performance
- Develop network automation and monitoring/telemetry products using tools like git and CI/CD pipeline
- Solve and eliminate operational issues with 2nd level support including on-call duties
- Prepare technical documentation throughout the network lifecycle
- Design, build and support IP backbone and data center underlay networks on 2nd and 3rd line
- Develop and operate network functions for provisioning and assurance
- Ensure infrastructure availability including performance, cost, capacity and reliability
- Coordinate among development groups and collaborate with infrastructure teams, SOC, NatCos and 3rd party providers
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Advanced Layer 2 & 3 networks including IPv6, BGP, ISIS/OSPF, QoS, multicast, VXLAN, EVPN, Routing & Switching, MPLS
- Carrier grade backbone and datacenter network engineering with Juniper, Cisco, or Huawei hardware/software
- Network troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Linux networking, container networking and cloud networking
- Network programmability including model driven approaches
- Linux administration and cloud fundamentals such as OpenStack and SDN
- Python programming and APIs like REST and NETCONF
- Source control tools including git and GitLab
- Computer Science / Telecommunication Engineering / Information Systems / Related fieldpreferred

About the job
· Planning, implementation, development and testing of HW/ SW components for the company backbone and data center networks (Layer 2&3 networks interconnects company datacenters & cloud instances inside company as well as external partner/client networks).
· Preparation of technical feasibility studies, design proposals and execution of POCs for the networks.
· Communication with 3rd parties/vendors during tendering process (RFI/RFQ) or during definition of requirements on network design.
· Integration of new technologies (HW/ SW), definition of upgrade strategies for HW/SW and lifecycle plans for the networks.
· Preparation of vendor specific configuration templates
· Define the network monitoring metrics and KPIs and track the performance of systems; apply the collected statistics for network dimensioning and capacity planning.
· Develop network automation and network monitoring/telemetry products by using tools, methodologies & technologies such as git, CI/CD, pipeline, network abstraction, Network as Code, etc.
· Participate on solving and eliminating of ops issues – perform 2nd level support (rotating on-call duty required)
· Preparation of the techn. documentation through the lifecyle of networks, e.g., design, updates of the code, etc.
· Design, Build and 2nd and 3rd line of operations of IP backbone network and data center undelay networks.
· Development and Operations of network functions for provioning and assurance.
· Ensuring Infrastructure availability with all its attributes (performance, cost, capacity, reliability).
· Coordination among multiple development groups and close collaboration with infrastructure teams, SOC, NatCos and 3rd party providers.
About You

What You Will Need
· Bachelor / Master Degree in Computer Science, Telecomunication Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
· More than five years’ experience in area of network platforms design and testing, competence in carrier grade backbone / datacenter network engineering.
· Operational experience in networks’ troubleshooting and root cause analysis
· English language - fluent (verbal and written communication skills)
· Knowledge of other EU working languages would be an asset
· Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills, resourcefulness and initiative

· Network Skills:
· Advanced layer 2 & 3 networks (e.g., IPv6, BGP, ISIS/OSPF, QoS, multicast, V/VXLAN, EVPN, Routing & Switching, MPLS etc.);
· Extensive knowledge of carrier grade / data center network hardware, routing, switching, network security and telecommunication circuits from major vendors, in particular Juniper, Cisco or Huawei (e.g Juniper QFX experience, Cisco Nexus experience)
· Experience on Linux networking, container networking and cloud networking;
· Knowledge on model driven network programmability.
· Platform Skills:
· Linux Administration / container fundamentals;
· Cloud fundamentals (e.g., openstack, SDN).
· Programming Skills:
· Data Formats (e.g., JSON, YAML, etc);
· Python and APIs (e.g., REST, NETCONF, etc);
· Source Control (e.g., git, GitLab, etc) ;
· Configuration Management (e.g., Ansible, etc)
· CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification preferred
· MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project)
