About the job
As a Security Officer supporting NATO and defense-related engagements, you will play a critical role in safeguarding classified information, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and acting as the liaison between Deloitte, national authorities, and NATO security bodies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and maintaining secure facilities and controlled areas in accordance with NATO and national security requirements.
Coordinating personnel security clearance processes, including the initiation, maintenance, renewal, and monitoring of NATO and national security clearances.
Supporting compliance with NATO security directives, national regulations, and Deloitte security policies related to the handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information.
Conducting internal security audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Managing visitor access procedures, foreign visit requests, and access authorization processes for secure environments.
Delivering security briefings, awareness sessions, and training programs to employees regarding physical, personnel, information, and cyber security requirements.
Serving as the primary point of contact between Deloitte, National Security Authorities (NSAs), government agencies, and NATO security organizations.
Supporting incident management, investigations, and reporting related to security breaches or compliance concerns.
Maintaining security records, documentation, and reporting in accordance with applicable regulations and contractual obligations.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of Deloitte's security governance framework and protective security practices.

Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Security Studies, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Law, Political Science, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
Active NATO Security Clearance (NATO Secret or higher) or eligibility to obtain and maintain the required clearance level.
8+ years of professional experience in industrial security, defense, government contracting, information assurance, or a related security environment.
Good understanding of NATO Security Policy and supporting directives (including AC/35 framework) and relevant national security regulations.
Experience managing personnel security clearances, classified information handling, and security compliance activities.
Knowledge of physical security, personnel security, information security, and risk management principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional NATO member-state languages will be considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly regulated environment.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive and classified information.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Citizenship of a NATO member country.
Willingness to travel occasionally within Greece and abroad, subject to project and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with NATO organizations, Ministries of Defense, governmental agencies, or defense contractors.
Professional certifications in security management, information security, risk management, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting secure facilities, accreditation processes, and classified contract administration.
