associate director, financial analytics

You will collaborate closely with the Director to design and expand the structure of financial/business Data across the organization, to develop automated internal controls and support strategic decision-making. Moreover, you will lead the IT audit and work closely with other Finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency between Management reports and accounting/treasury tools.

This role combines financial expertise, data analytics, and business acumen to instill a solid data-driven vision in the Finance department of a rapidly scaling fintech environment.

You will partner closely with the Accounting Director, Treasury, Business Control, Data Analysts, and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, automation and maintenance of data models that support reporting, auditing, forecasting, and strategic decision-making

• Collaborate with Data Analysts to build those data models, and improve existing ones after investigating edge cases

• Partner with business leaders and engineers to translate new products into existing/new data models

• Manage and mentor a team of finance analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, accountability, analytical rigor and autonomy.

• Partner with Data Analysts and Accounting teams to ensure consistency between financial statements and analytics models

• Lead the IT Audit process and partner with Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close processes

Desired skills and competencies

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field

• Fluency with SQL

• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Analytics or Strategy, ideally in fintech, financial services, or technology

• Familiarity with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and modern finance tech stacks

• Deep Accounting knowledge and financial reporting (ideally US GAAP)

• Proactive and autonomous, able to drive multiple projects simultaneously, and know when to escalate issues or ask for support

• Excellent leadership, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
