process development specialist - lyophilized injectables

What you'll do
- Develop and optimize lyophilization cycles for sterile injectable products across laboratory, pilot and commercial scales
- Support formulation and process development focused on stability, cake appearance, residual moisture and reconstitution
- Evaluate critical process parameters and quality attributes across freezing, primary drying and secondary drying
- Support process scale-up, technology transfer and process validation activities
- Design development trials, analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports and recommend improvements
- Investigate process deviations, perform root cause analysis, and support CAPA and change control
- Prepare and review development documents, protocols, reports, batch records and transfer packages
- Apply Quality by Design principles, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform activities in line with GMP requirements, internal procedures and regulatory expectations
- Stay current with developments in lyophilization, sterile injectables and pharmaceutical process development
Key requirements
- 8+ years' experience
- Lyophilization & sterile injectables: process development, freeze-drying and injectable product development
- Cycle development, optimization & scale-up: lyophilization cycle development and process scale-up
- Formulation, validation & transfer: formulation development, technology transfer and process validation
- GMP, QbD & process quality: GMP requirements, Quality by Design, critical process parameters and quality attributes
- Development analytics: experimental design, data analysis and root cause analysis
- Quality systems & documentation: CAPA and change control, technical report writing
- Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Any Fieldpreferred
