As a Senior Payments Specialist, you will lead the strategic planning and development of banking payment solutions (domestic & cross-border), ensuring technological excellence, compliance with banking regulations and a seamless customer experience. You will serve as a key liaison between technology teams, business strategy and regulators. The ideal candidate should possess a strategic mindset and customer service orientation along with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and show commitment to the achievement of the team’s and the Organization’s goals.
Responsibilities:
• Planning and proposing the strategic development of payment products, A2A, fixed and payments
• Analysis of customer needs
• Monitoring market trends and competition
• Monitoring technological developments and legal framework in the payments sector
• Making proposals regarding the development of new products and services
• Analysis of payment services pricing policy
• Monitoring the life cycle of products, their profitability and their efficiency
• Planning promotional actions to increase the Bank's active customers and the Unit's important metrics
• Participation in the training of branch staff and the production of educational material
• Conducting of ad hoc product and customer portfolio studies
• Manage relations with authorities (e.g. DIAS, AADE etc.)
• Preparation and monitoring of the unit's annual budget.
Qualifications:
• University degree in Business Administration or Finance
• Postgraduate degree in a related field (desirable)
• At least 7 (seven) years of experience in payment development roles in a banking or financial environment.
• Excellent knowledge of SEPA Credit Transfers, Direct Debits, SWIFT MT & MX, ISO 20022, Open Banking APIs.
• Very good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken
• Very good PC skills with emphasis on the use of MS Office applications
• Understanding of IPS, AML/KYC, GDPR regulations and their respective impacts on payment products.
• Leadership and coaching skills and the ability to motivate teams

• Ability to plan and manage time effectively
