Responsibilities
Prepare a diverse selection of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring excellence in taste, texture, and visual presentation.
Support the Executive Pastry Chef in the creation and development of innovative dessert menus, utilizing seasonal ingredients and contemporary pastry techniques.
Supervise, mentor, and train junior pastry staff, upholding standards in preparation methods, consistency, and artistic presentation.
Oversee the proper storage, handling, and display of all pastry items, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Monitor stock levels and assist in the procurement of pastry ingredients and supplies to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operations.
Participate in the planning and execution of pastry production for hotel events, banquets, and special occasions, ensuring timely and flawless delivery.
Collaborate with the broader culinary team to ensure cohesive integration of pastry offerings within the overall dining experience.
Remain informed of emerging trends, techniques, and industry innovations to continuously enhance and evolve the hotel’s pastry program.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry preparation in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts is required, with a specialty in pastry preferred.
Strong technical skills in dessert presentation, baking, and pastry techniques.
Creativity and passion for developing innovative pastry dishes and desserts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
Good communication skills, fluent in Greek and English, with the ability to work harmoniously within a team.
