About the job
As HR Manager, you will serve as the country HR lead and legal HR signatory, responsible for the full spectrum of HR operations in Greece, ensuring alignment with both local labor legislation and group HR strategy. You will manage a team of HR professionals and be actively involved in tech recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and strategic HR planning.
This is a high-impact leadership role offering autonomy, cross-border exposure, and the opportunity to shape the HR footprint of the company in Greece.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Leadership & Legal Representation
Serve as the official HR legal representative of our client in Greece.
Take full accountability for compliance with Greek labor law and HR-related legal obligations.
2. People Management
Lead and develop a team of 7 HR professionals.
Foster a collaborative, empowered culture aligned with their values and goals.
3. Strategic Business Partnering
Partner with business leaders to align HR strategy with business objectives.
Provide insights and guidance in leadership meetings and support decision-making at a strategic level.
4. Talent Acquisition with Tech Focus
Own and drive full-cycle recruitment efforts, especially for IT and digital roles.
Collaborate with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
5. Operational HR Excellence
Oversee daily HR operations: payroll, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and internal HR systems.
Ensure operational excellence with accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
6. Employee Relations & Labor Law
Build trusted relationships with employees and external bodies (e.g., unions, legal advisors).
Act as escalation point for grievances, ensuring lawful and effective conflict resolution.
7. Project & Change Management
Lead or support local and group-wide HR initiatives (e.g., digital transformation, engagement surveys, M&A).
Ensure successful project execution through effective planning and change management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Compliance Metrics: Adherence to labor laws and internal policies.
Time-to-Hire: Especially for key tech roles.
Engagement & Retention: Employee feedback and turnover rates.
HR Service Quality: Internal stakeholder satisfaction.
Team Performance: Growth and development of HR team members.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in HR leadership, preferably in international and matrixed environments.
Legal Expertise: Solid understanding of Greek labor law; prior experience as a legal HR signatory is highly preferred.
Tech Recruitment Knowledge: Proven ability to attract and hire tech professionals.
Operational Expertise: Hands-on experience managing payroll, HR systems, and compliance processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with leadership teams and external partners (e.g., legal advisors, auditors).
Core Competencies:
Tech Recruiting Expertise: Able to assess and attract high-quality IT/digital talent.
Legal & Compliance Acumen: Confidence in navigating Greek employment law and representing the company legally.
Leadership & Empathy: Motivational leader capable of developing high-performing teams.

Change & Project Management: Skilled in leading and implementing complex HR initiatives.
