sap product owner – sales & distribution

Ensures effective delivery of relevant application services by leveraging specialist system knowledge and business knowledge in the areas of Sales and Distribution. Translates business specifications and effective, efficient and compliant business solutions. Works on business change projects and enhancements processes. Provides specialist application and solution support for specific elements of the applications estate.

Key Tasks & Responsibilites:

• Works as a Subject Matter Expert for a relevant defined application & functional scope on business projects in line with business strategy

• Quickly grasps user requirements and solution options

• Owns enhancements & project tasks translating functional requirements into solution design, build, test (co-ordinating UAT) and deployment

• Works on agreed projects and changes  within the agreed time limits

• Provides expert second-line support to IT users in line with agreed SLAs

• Investigates incidents and identifies and mobilises resources required to aid resolution, escalates SLA breaches

• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the Change Management process

• Vendor liaison to support service delivery to agreed SLAs 

• Supports the incident root cause analysis process, Initiates problem management.

• Supports continuous process improvement 

• Ensures compliance with Internal Control processes and procedures.

Key Functional Competencies & Relevant Experience:

• Educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate appropriate significant and relevant experience in Sales and Distribution systems and processes

• Knowledge of Commerce and CRM principles in a Consumer Goods environment 

• Certified in Sap (S/4Hana) in SD

• 2-3 years’ experience in an SAP consulting or implementation environment 

• Effective communication – technical and non-technical

• Understand enterprise architecture comments
