For over 15 years, they have been servicing the decision-making, analytical and operational needs of leading financial institutions and other organizations with receivable assets.

With their development center in Greece, a strong business development and operations center in the United Kingdom and offices in France, Cyprus and Brazil, they support over 70 clients in more than 15 countries to accurately value their debt portfolios, streamline their collections operations and improve performance.

Now they are looking for a Full Stack Java SW Engineer who will join their Supply Chain Finance product development team and participate in the analysis, design and implementation of high-quality software. Their team consists of full stack developers utilizing a variety of technologies. Above all, they are looking for self-motivated, detail oriented and enthusiastic people, keen to take on a technically challenging position, working within a team atmosphere.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle (technical design, code, unit testing, pair reviews, code optimization) and ensure quality standards are adhered to

• Collaborate closely with Solution Architect and Product manager to optimize product functionality in terms of feature set, performance and scalability and contribute in the product evolution

• Build and maintain cloud-based enterprise applications

• Develop new UIs for API features being developed and improve and re-factor existing user-facing features

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Take part in the Incident, Problem and Change Management processes – during the support & maintenance phases – by implementing bug fixes, upgrades and enhancements to their existing clients

• Develops technical documentation

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related subject

• 2 to 6 years of professional experience in application development of enterprise IT software systems and applications; experience gained in Financial Services or Banking Sectors is highly desirable.

• Good understanding of Java and Java Spring Framework in a commercial environment

• Working experience in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including Angular, jQuery and other related front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3

• Working experience in Web technologies and internet protocols (ReST, XML, JSON, HTTP)

• Knowledge of automated build tools such as Maven and Ant

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and frameworks

• Working knowledge of Relational Databases and ORM technologies (iBatis, Hibernate etc.)

• Experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining Java Servlet containers (Tomcat) and in writing unit tests (JUnit, Selenium) is desirable

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Good organizational skills, ability to deliver within strict timeframes

• Highly motivated and eager to develop professionally

• Ability to work efficiently both on own initiative and within a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
