About the job
We are looking for a Product Configuration Expert – Core HR Systems to join our dynamic Workday team. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing business requirements, developing both technical and functional specifications, proposing solution designs, and configuring the system to deliver an end‑to‑end product that meets business expectations. The role will be supporting Advanced Compensation and/or Talent modules for deployment and maintenance.
You will ensure long‑term stability, maintainability, compliance, and data integrity of the solution, in alignment with the CCH systems landscape and standards.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure epics & features deliver value, meet business objectives and support the product’s roadmap
Contribute to the product lifecycle (from conception to retirement / innovation, new capabilities, continuously improving usability & performance), to the product’s vision, roadmap, backlog and epic / feature prioritization.
Follow the product / feature releases of technology platform(s) used.
Be an active member of selected vendors’/user communities (e.g. external communities of Workday)
Identify proactively use-cases for the new technologies, new features of technology platforms used
Have the Backlog always up to date for the product.
Define features reflecting functionalities to be delivered, and features are turned into user stories; User stories defined.
Configure to deliver features & stories aligned with Architects, product technical and functional documentation in place
Incorporate into sizing of user stories with architect's input; Quality of sizing / effort estimation improves sprint by sprint
Align UI/UX solution aspects with an expert/vendor and validate UI/UX proposals with product owner Business stakeholders as well as Countries, plan A/B testing when appropriate
Understand drivers of software usability; use the best-practice usability checklist during configuration and configure solution comply with usability best practices
Built-in quality mindset demonstrated, peer reviews utilized
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
University Degree in a relevant area
3+ years’ Workday experience in Workday HCM, including Talent and/or Compensation modules.
Reporting and/or Integration experience would be an advantage.
Certified in Workday HCM. Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, or Talent certification would be an advantage.
Deep understanding of the business process framework with the ability to make recommendations on improvements.
Experience of rebuilding in a post-go-live/post-production environment.
Experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
E2E configuration and customizing of respective solutions, including documentation
Testing, release management, go-live preparation and support.
Experience managing Workday releases.
Effective communication, collaboration and influencing/negotiation skills
Curiosity: Desire to understand the business and its processes in depth
Detail-Oriented: Ensuring accuracy in requirements and documentation
