ai risk & governance specialist
About the job
As part of our growing Data Products team within the Data, Insights & AI (DIAI) function, we are opening a senior role for an AI Risk & Governance Specialist — a key position in ensuring that all AI and data solutions across CCH are responsible, compliant, and trustworthy.
You will act as the bridge between technical and compliance domains, partnering with Legal, Data Privacy, Security, and business teams to embed AI governance, ethics, and risk management across the full product lifecycle - from design through to deployment and continuous operation.
IN THIS EXCITING ROLE YOU WILL:
Governance & Frameworks
Own and evolve the AI Governance Framework, aligning with ISO/IEC 42001, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
Define and maintain the AI compliance checklist, risk register, and documentation templates covering transparency, fairness, explainability, and accountability.
Support the establishment of AI oversight committees and drive governance awareness and capability building across DIAI and business teams.
Data Management
Oversee compliance with data risk and quality assessments, model input governance, and bias mitigation protocols.
Ensure that data retention, access, and security controls comply with internal and external regulations.
Modelling & Development
Partner with AI Design Owners and Data Science teams to ensure that model explainability, traceability, and ethical testing are built into design and documentation.
Contribute to model risk identification, robustness testing, and performance validation reviews.
Pre-deployment Evaluation
Lead AI impact and risk assessments (including fairness, ethics, and safety).
Ensure pre-deployment compliance validation, residual risk evaluation, and readiness checks are completed before production release.
Deployment & Operations
Support continuous monitoring of AI systems, periodic risk reassessments, and incident response protocols.
Partner with Data Privacy and Security to maintain audit trails, transparency, and disclosure across the lifecycle.
Promote a culture of responsible AI and continuous compliance improvement.
Awareness & Capability Building
Lead internal training and awareness programs on AI ethics, legal risks, and responsible AI principles.
Stay abreast of emerging global AI regulations and translate them into actionable internal policies and controls.
YOU CAN BE SUCCESFULL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
• Proven experience in compliance, risk, or governance roles within data-driven or AI environments.
Deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle and familiarity with GenAI, data governance, and model management practices.
Strong working knowledge of GDPR, data protection, and AI regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act experience preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder governance across business and technical teams.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of translating complex compliance requirements into practical guidance.
Familiarity with tools such as model documentation templates, AI risk registers, and impact assessment frameworks.
