What you'll do
- Develop, modify, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms
- Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable ABAP code that meets SAP best practices
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within SAP systems, including debugging existing programs
- Provide timely support to resolve user-reported issues and implement enhancements
- Create and maintain technical documentation ensuring consistent coding standards and naming conventions
- Participate in and support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and proactively suggest improvements
- Contribute to project planning by providing development effort and timeline estimates
- Assist in preparation of project documentation such as technical specifications and progress reports
Key requirements
- 8+ years' experience
- ABAP programming language with strong debugging skills
- Forms including Adobe forms, Smart forms, and SAP Script
- ABAP workbench tools and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP)
- Webservices (SOAP and REST) and OData development
- SAP Fiori/UI5 including CDS, JavaScript, AMDP, WebIDE, and SAP BTP
- SAP Change and Release Management (ChaRM), ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), and Agile frameworks like SAFe and Scrum
- Azure DevOps, Jira, and ServiceNow (SNOW)
