As a member of the Mediation Systems team, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Mediation software systems and applications under his organizational unit accountability.

Duties & responsibilities

• Analysis and design based on technical and commercial requirements. 

−        Collaboration with the team to understand project needs. 

−        Conversion of requirements into technical specifications for Mediation systems. 

−        Writing technical documentation. 

• Implementation and certification of solutions in Mediation systems (Telecom Mediation, Privacy Ingestion Layer) 

−        Implementation and configuration of the systems. 

−        Tests design and execution to evaluate system functionality. 

−        Ensuring quality assurance.

−        Organizing the deployment of solutions into production environments according to internal procedures. 

• Maintenance and support of production Mediation systems.

−        Providing technical support to the team and other departments. 

−        Handling critical issues and ensuring the smooth operation of the system. 

−        Identifying and fixing bugs. 

−        Organizing and executing system upgrades. 

• Compliance with Standards and Security

−        Ensuring that systems meet security standards, sensitive data protection, and regulatory compliance. 

−        Monitoring and implementing international telecommunications standards (3GPP, GSMA, etc.). 

• Coordination and management of external teams 

−        Participating in meetings to coordinate activities of partners and vendors. 

−        Monitoring and ensuring the quality of deliverables from partners and vendors. 

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as an IT engineer
• Experience in one or more programming languages, such as Java or Python
• Experience in Relational Databases, SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle or MySQL DB)
• Knowledge of Software Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) and the Software Development Lifecycle overall
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu etc.)
• Experience in writing unit tests and conducting debugging to ensure the reliability and quality of software
• Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Awareness of security best practices including encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms, to build secure software
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving technologies and best practices in software engineering
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) will be considered a plus
• Ability to create clear and concise documentation for code, APIs, and software design
