About the job

Reporting into the Senior Performance Manager for South Europe, this role focuses on providing analytical support and reporting for the cluster business unit and internally to the different stakeholders, driving a culture of value hunting across the business. You will play a key role in supporting business decisions and optimization of investments decisions.

The role will provide key analysis during the monthly close and reporting cycle as well as comparisons and variance analysis versus the dynamic plan, forecast and last year.

You will provide ongoing support and evaluation of actual performance against targets to ensure timely decision making.

You will have responsibility for managing, presenting and actioning all financial issues related to A&P and Structure Costs performance.

You will support the Finance Manager for South Europe on the controls & governance activities related to A&P and Structure Costs.

Responsibilities

Drive results & excellence in A&P and Structure Costs P&L Management

  • Build strong relationships with Market functions (Marketing teams, HR, SC Budget Owners, Finance Manager), Support functions (CoE and BES) and Euroc functions
  • Manage accuracy of Actual financial numbers for A&P and SC
  • Support Marketing teams with accurate and on-time PO/GR/WBS
  • Support HR and SC Budget Owners SC accruals and PO/GR/CC
  • Support Finance Managers with Structure Costs journal entries and accruals review during month-end closing
  • Variance Analysis vs. Budget and Last Year: what are the main drivers of our YTD performance and do we see any risks or opportunities going forward
  • Latest Estimate: work closely with CoE and Budget Owners to build a bottom-up or top-down latest estimate for current fiscal year

Dynamic planning cycle

  • Fully understand & embrace Dynamic Planning principles
  • Support Marketing teams during IAP
  • Support Marketing teams with accurate and on-time WBS information
  • Ensure we have the right number of WBS lines based on accounting principles and reporting requirements
  • Support Marketing teams with additional budget requests during the fiscal year

Controls & governance

  • Support the Finance Manager for South Europe on the controls & governance activities related to A&P and Structure Costs: SOX controls, audit requests, balance sheet review, local tax payments
  • Act as back-up of the Finance Manager for South Europe in certain areas

Business partner for the business

  • M&E: support Marketing teams to measure & evaluate their investments & activations
  • Innovation: support Marketing teams with business case assumptions and driving sustainable profitability of our innovations

Performance management ad-hoc financial support

  • TM1 data uploads
  • PowerPoint deck creation during IAP or Dynamic Plan season
  • Support Marketing teams during meetings with agencies to find efficient & effective solutions
  • Any ad-hoc support to hunt for value and deliver our targets & ambition

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Performance: Delivery of financial budget and optimization project targets. Delivery of timely & accurate reporting
  • Business Partnering: Drive simplification in reporting, analysis and insights to provide autonomy for the rest of organization
  • People agenda: Build constructive relationship with budget owner and drive integration of finance team
  • Audit Accuracy: Full accuracy of financial actions and elements in post audits

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

  • +5 years of related work experience in finance business partnering ideally in a FMCG or Beverage company
  • Sound Financial business partnering mindset with Marketing and Commercial team
  • Knowledge in managing a P&L, A&P and Structure Costs management and Forecasting 
  • Strong analytical skills, able to take complex ideas and summaries into concise insights and recommendations
  • Effective communication skills, able to influence comfortably with senior leaders and motivate change
  • High-energy with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Process focused with an understanding of end to end business processes and their financial impacts
  • Ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve
  • Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
  • Work with peers to develop standard analytical approaches/reports that can be applied across all brands
  • Control Environment: Understanding of internal controls, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal/external reporting and communications
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office including Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUP, Conditional Functions, etc.) and proficiency in data collection and analytics
  • Ability to collect, aggregate, manage and implement programs using a range of research and analysis techniques
  • Ability to be highly successful in a matrix management organization
  • Proficiency in English language

The following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in the Spirits Industry is a distinct advantage
  • BS in Business, Finance and Marketing (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English
