We are looking for a talented and motivated R&D Engineer for fixed-term contract (2 years) to join our BIC R&D team and contribute to one of our most strategic innovation programs: the development of alternatives to PTFE.
About the Role
The candidate will play a key role in identifying, developing, and industrializing next-generation materials that meet both performance and compliance requirements.
What you'll do:
Investigate and test alternative materials to replace PTFE in our products
Design and execute laboratory experiments and performance evaluations
Reporting and presenting evaluation results
Support industrial scale-up and implementation in production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Safety, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Procurement)
Engage with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions
What you'll bring to BIC:
Bachelor in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
MSc or PhD in Polymer chemistry, Polymer coatings, Organometallics
1–3 years of experience in R&D (industry or in the university)
Experience in manufacturing environment or product development is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Fluent in English
