We are looking for a Manager, Supply Management – Packaging to support and execute global packaging procurement strategies across Europe, mainly in our Greek site.
This role is highly cross‑functional and strategic, working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Business stakeholders to drive value, cost optimization, innovation, and sustainability across packaging categories.
The position has no direct reports and operates in a complex, matrixed global environment, with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and deployment of global procurement strategies for Packaging categories within the assigned scope, fully aligned with business priorities and performance targets.
Execute category strategies, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, tenders, supplier negotiations, and implementation of savings projects.
Track and monitor forecasted vs. actual savings, ensuring measurable impact in budgets and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and proactively identify mitigation plans for supply and cost risks.
Act as the key procurement interface with internal stakeholders, communicating market trends, category strategies, performance results, and opportunities.
Work closely with Finance partners to ensure savings are properly validated, tracked, and embedded into financial plans.
Lead and coordinate the supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management process, including negotiations and strategic supplier relationship management.
Maintain strong market and technical expertise in packaging, including printed and primary packaging, as well as industrial packaging solutions.
Stay current on market evolution, supplier capabilities, and innovation trends, ensuring access to emerging technologies and new suppliers.
Support and execute Group Sustainability Targets, ensuring sourcing strategies incorporate sustainability and responsible sourcing principles.
Ensure full compliance with internal policies, external regulations, contracts, and legal requirements, monitoring supplier quality, risk, and compliance.
Coordinate Category Strategy Planning, including: Collecting and analyzing category insights (with Analytics), Building category profiles, Identifying and prioritizing opportunities, Defining category and buying‑channel strategies in partnership with Business stakeholders.
Provide operational support to the business, especially during supplier transitions, implementations, and critical supply situations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
Experience in Procurement, ideally within Packaging categories.
Previous experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods companies is highly preferred
Strong experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders in complex, matrix organizations.
Proven background in strategic sourcing, tenders, negotiations, and savings generation.
Solid understanding of manufacturing environments and packaging engineering interfaces.
Advanced English (mandatory), with strong ability to communicate with global stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with Excel, Power BI, and procurement data (user level; creation is a plus but not required).
Ability to operate autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a transformational and evolving environment.
