About the job
The Blade Design/Process Engineer designs the machines that produce blade. Namely, he/she designs parts, assemblies and mechanisms for the existing or future blade production machines and production lines. Moreover, the Blade Design Engineer places specifications for the above parts, mechanisms, machines and production lines. He/she contacts and evaluates external and third-party suppliers and integrates 3rd party solutions in his/hers designs. He manages projects from the annual strategy of the Blade Factory In parallel, the Blade Design Engineer examines the performance and integration of the Blade production machines with the Blade production process and proposes improvements which minimize downtime, handling and costs, maximize productivity, equipment efficiency and product quality while respecting health, safety, and environment policies.
In this role you will be responsible for:
The design and the specifications of blade production machines
The engineering drawings and the drawings Data Base of blade production machines
The creation of manuals for the blade production machines
The storage of digital product (3D parts, assemblies, engineering drawings etc) in the Engineering Drawings Database
The usage of Engineering Drawings Database, the adoption of the department’s naming conventions, the retrieval of the required files, the creation of new components or the modification of existing and the updating of the database.
The conversion of legacy engineering drawings to pairs of 3D models & drawings
Handling common international standards (ISO, DIN, ANSI) and their standard mechanical components
Ordering the construction of his designs from the machine shop
Evaluating third party suppliers for engineering & design services
Establishing collaboration with third party suppliers for engineering & design services
The project management of projects from the annual strategy of the Blade factory
The collaboration with supervisors of blade factory departments to analyze production issues and propose the implementation of optimum engineering solutions.
The preparation of reports and data analysis for improvement recommendations of plant operations and the resolution of maintenance and construction related issues
The implementation of HSE policies along his perimeter
The implementation of the documented requirements of the Quality System and the requirements of the IFS HPC standard.
