About the job

The Accounting / Billing Specialist will join the Finance Department and play an integral role in supporting financial operations related to invoicing, accounts receivable, and collections. The role also involves providing high-quality financial information and reporting to Project Managers and Department Heads, contributing to robust financial control and effective project monitoring.

As an Accounting/ Billing Specialist, you will:

• Support the end-to-end service invoicing process for clients

• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances (accounts receivable)

• Participate in the collections process, supporting timely and efficient cash inflows

• Review and ensure the correct application of VAT legislation across transactions

• Prepare, analyze, and provide financial information and reports to Project Managers and Department Heads, related to projects and clients

• Analyze financial data and collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial information

• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of billing, invoicing, and project monitoring processes

• Become a contributing team member from day one, working in a professional, collaborative, and high-performance environment

• Continuously develop technical and professional skills through structured learning, coaching, and on-the-job experience, supporting long-term career development.


To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a structured finance environment

• Previous experience in a consulting or professional services firm and in a project-based billing environment will be consider as an asset

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP will be consider as an asset

• Very good knowledge of VAT rules and VAT compliance

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of financial accounting principles

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Project Managers and Department Heads

• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in diverse and cross-functional teams

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment

• Military obligations fulfilled (where applicable).
