What you'll do
- Implement optimum fuel contracting strategies and timing, especially for Singapore
- Maintain and grow strategic relationships with major and independent fuel suppliers
- Assist in optimizing the marine fuels purchasing strategy aligned with group strategy
- Manage volume and price exposure using Marine Fuels market fundamentals for Singapore and other key ports
- Assist in negotiating and fixing long-term and short-term bunker contracts for strategic locations
- Originate market insights and price risk management strategies including hedging opportunities
- Supervise operational processes and risks related to marine fuels procurement
- Optimize bunker desk operations including spot fuel procurement with market trends
- Perform due diligence of fuel suppliers regarding quality, integrity, service, and creditworthiness
- Ensure quality standards and technical parameters of ordered fuels are maintained
- Oversee scheduling and operation of contracts and spot deliveries at key supply locations
- Interact effectively with internal stakeholders to align with their KPIs
- Approve bunker invoices for final payment
- Support claim handling and problem resolution by the bunker team
- Assist in Master Mariners training
- Lead the smooth operation of the bunker desk
