Maran Dry Management Inc., one of the world’s leading Bulk Carrier operators and part of the Angelicoussis Group, is looking for a motivated candidate for the position of HSQE Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, analyse, and prepare statistical data and documentation related to HSQE and Environmental/Energy programs;
Assist in the preparation of Annual Management Review Meetings and HSQE presentations;
Ensure effective implementation and follow-up of the Safety Management System (SMS) ashore and on board, including manual updates in line with DPA guidelines;
Review and follow up on incidents, accidents, near misses, safety meetings, and non-conformities, ensuring timely company responses and corrective actions;
Maintain and update the HSQE database, ensuring accurate records and follow-up on improvement actions;
Monitor compliance with office environmental procedures and identify opportunities for improvement;
Track validity and expiry of company and vessel certifications (DOC, SMC, ISSC, MLC, ISO);
Coordinate the planning and follow-up of internal and external audits;
Ensure timely submission of SMS and HSQE-related reports as per company requirements;
Perform administrative duties and manage correspondence related to HSQE responsibilities;
Candidate must have
University degree in Shipping Management, Business Administration, Naval Architecture/Engineering or related field; or a Naval Academy (Deck or Engine) qualification with at least a Class III Certificate of Competency, supported by a BSc and/or postgraduate degree
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an HSQE-related role
Previous exposure to HSQE, Safety Management Systems (SMS), or maritime compliance will be considered an advantage
Strong command of the Greek and English language, both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and HSQE-related databases or reporting tools
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
