What you'll do
- Verify officers’ and crew members’ licenses, certificates, and compliance with MLC/STCW and Greek Flag Regulations
- Conduct due diligence when selecting competent officers and crew with the Crew Manager
- Monitor manning levels against requirements and vessel crew matrices to maintain compliance
- Maintain updated vessel crew lists
- Supervise and liaise with appointed Crew Managers
- Evaluate seafarer performance, identify training needs, and propose training plans
- Maintain records of crew documentation, including certifications, medical documents, evaluations, visas, and tickets
- Coordinate crew dispatch to and from vessels with Port Agents and Crew Managers
- Correspond with Flag Administrations and manning agents on crew-related matters
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Crew operations and manning level management
- Maritime licenses and certificates, MLC/STCW compliance, and Greek Flag Regulations
- Crew selection and due diligence
- Crew documentation management and maritime correspondence
- Seafarer performance evaluation and crew training needs assessment
- Crew dispatch coordination, Port agent liaison, and Crew manager liaison
- Maritime Studies / Any Field
