What you'll do

- Collaborate with Functional Analysts and Solutions Architects to translate requirements into robust BI solutions
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Experience with BI platforms and tools including IBM CloudPak for Data, Netezza DWH Appliance, SPSS Modeler Flows, MS Fabric, Power BI, and SQL Server
- Proficiency in programming languages Python and JavaScript
- Knowledge of Data Management, Data Visualization, and Data Analytics
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and Data Analytics
- Familiarity with AI/ML Concepts and hands-on experience with AI-powered Tools such as GitHub Copilot and MS Copilot
- Skills in Exploratory Data Analysis
- Computer Science / Engineering / Physics / Applied Mathematics / related field

About the job
As a BI Senior Data Engineer, you will join the Alpha Bank’s Business Intelligence and Reporting domain within the IT Digital Services and Data Analytics Division and you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex BI applications while ensuring adherence to established design patterns, domain-driven design, and industry best practices. Leads development teams within the context of projects.
What you will be doing
• Design and implement complex Data Management, Visualization, and Analytics solutions.
• Produce scalable data models across multiple subject areas.
• Review and assists Data Engineers in the design and implementation of efficient Data Management, Data Visualization, and Data Analytics applications.
• Engage in the selection and implementation of the appropriate technologies to deliver resilient data solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify root causes of data issues.
• Monitor data profiling processes across multiple sources (database, files, etc.) for quality and accuracy.
• Identifie and reviews the implementation of internal process improvements.
• Lead and coordinate data engineering teams, ensuring adherence to organizational data standards.
• Collaborate with Functional Analysts and Solutions Architects to translate requirements into robust BI solutions.
What you need to have
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related fields
• A Masters’ degree in a related field (preferred)
• At least three (3) years of experience in BI solutions
• Experience in Platforms/BI Tools IBM CloudPak for Data, Netezza DWH Appliance, SPSS Modeler Flows, MS Fabric, Power BI and SQL Server
• Experience in Programming language Python and JavaScript
• AI/ML & Productivity Tools : Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (machine learning models, data pipelines for AI, model lifecycle management) and hands-on experience with AI-powered tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, MS Copilot, or other generative AI assistants) to enhance productivity in coding, documentation, and data analysis would be strongly considered as a plus.
