What you'll do
- Manage and operate OpenShift clusters in production environments on-premises and cloud
- Perform cluster lifecycle operations including installation, upgrades, and patching
- Deploy and manage OpenShift operators
- Troubleshoot platform, networking, and workload issues
- Manage cluster networking including Ingress, Egress, Routes, DNS, and LoadBalancers
- Maintain cluster security with RBAC, SCC, certificates, and secrets
- Monitor cluster health and capacity using observability tools
- Implement and maintain platform configurations for storage, networking, and compute
- Contribute to automation using Ansible, scripts, or pipelines
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
- Support DevOps teams onboarding onto OpenShift
- Participate in incident handling and root-cause analysis
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) in day-to-day operations
- Experience with cluster installation (IPI/UPI) in on-premises or cloud environments
- Experience with OpenShift lifecycle management including upgrades and patching
- Experience with Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM)
- Strong Kubernetes fundamentals
- Linux systems administration
- Troubleshooting distributed systems
- Experience with on-premises environments such as VMware or Bare Metal
- Cluster networking including Ingress, Egress, Routes, DNS, and LoadBalancers
- Cluster security including RBAC, SCC, certificates, and secrets
- Observability tools for monitoring cluster health
- Automation skills with Ansible, scripts, or pipeline development
- Documentation and runbook maintenance
- Incident handling and root-cause analysis
- Collaboration with DevOps, security, and application teams

About the job
As an OpenShift Engineer, you will join Alpha Bank’s Cloud and Shared Infrastructure domain within IT Infrastructure & Operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise OpenShift platforms across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
You will work closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and compliance.
